Temagami Fishing

The best fishing in Ontario can be found at Papa John's Place, which is situated on Lake Herridge in Temagami, Ontario Canada.

Lake Herridge is approximately 4 miles long, with lots of bays, inlets, weed beds, and shoals. It is 150 feet deep in some spots.

You can fish right off of the docks or rent a boat or take one of our famous Back Lake Trips.

     When taking a Back Lake Trip, you use a set of 3 boats. The first one is on Lake Herridge, you walk a short portage into Iceland Lake and take a 2nd boat. You walk another portage into Driftwood Lake. Here you take the 3rd boat and follow the river into Wasaksina Lake, the largest of the Lakes. The trip from Herridge Lake to Wasaksina Lake is approximately 1 1/2 hours.

     Each Lake offers a variety of Fish and there are no cottages or lodges on them. The scenery is beautiful, and it is not unusual to catch a glimpse of Wildlife, in it's natural environment. Visit our Gallery for some wonderful photos of the Temagami Wilderness and great Fishing photos.

     Some of the fish you can expect to catch are Pickerel (Walleye), Pike, Lake Trout, Smallmouth Bass and Whitefish.
